A video worth watching: Rex Krueger (a YouTube woodworker), had an accident with his SawStop. In this video he goes over what went wrong (probably) and what he should have done differently (definitely).
Worth a watch. His channel covers a lot of novice woodworking on a limited budget. I’m working on building his Joiner’s Workbench for my shop.
Ours came with one, actually. Like so many blade guards, despite the enhancement to safety, it just became too much of a bother for everyone. Note: these styles of guards have to be removed for use with cross-cut sleds and for dado cuts (I think?). Ours was taken off and put back on so many times back in the day that I think it had became defective or too loose or something.
