Is there a need for paid membership before taking the online training courses for the polyprinters that are linked in the wiki pages? I’ve tried logging in to the learn.dallasmakerspace.org with the same username/pass for the forums and it doesn’t seem to work.

yes, you have to be a member first.
The forum login is not the same as a DMS member login, since our forums are open to members and non-members alike. When you sign up for a membership, you can create your DMS username and password. Many of us choose to set it to the same username as the forum to make it easier for people to tell who is who when getting help, however this is not required. There is a separate entry on your forum profile nowadays to put in your DMS username. Once you are a member don’t forget to request the “Green Dot” here to get extra forum privileges.
I’m unsure if the system will require filling out the waiver before allowing a login to that webpage, but my understanding is that it won’t once the order is accepted (though when you come in to use them of course the waiver etc has to be done to get you an access fob). @skyspook might be able to answer that.

As soon as the Active Directory account is active you’ll be able to access the courses. I believe this happens when the order is accepted.
