Our YouTube Channel - The Final One

@JayJohnson600 and I were talking about some Digital Media activities and I am looking to take lead on getting some more exposure for the Space. One of the ways to do this is with our YouTube Channel. As you can see below, there are two channels that appear to be the Space.

One is the original channel created called ‘TheDallasMakerspace’ and has 104 subscribers, 5 videos and the latest one was posted almost a year and a half ago. We also have no control over this channel and can not add new videos etc to it. The other account was newly created a couple of weeks ago for the last Board of Directors meeting.

What I have done under the Rules of Do-ocrocy is create a channel that currently myself and Jay are managers of and I am asking for others who wish to have access to the channel for the purpose of adding videos of your projects etc., PM me your email address for an invite to be a manager of the channel. Because YouTube is a Google product it is much easier if you already have a GMail address to send me that one.

Another task that I require someone to help out with is to verify/link the YouTube channel to the website using Google Webmaster Tools and also change the icon link at the top of the website.

Currently the channel is blank at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqcYhK5QYtBh9KwemYEdvRg
Once the link/verification to the website is complete our YouTube channel will be accessible from https://www.youtube.com/DallasMakerspace .

The “other” channel is the official Dallas Makerspace YouTube channel. It was recently enabled; however, it is connected to our official Dallas Makerspace Google+ account. I enabled it, in order to have our YouTube channel connected directly to our Google+ page, as it should be.

Perhaps your new one could be a special channel for “Dallas Makerspace Digital Media Productions”, or something along those lines?

Nope… “There can be only ONE.”

So, if that account is THE one… Can you please add myself and Jay as managers so that we are able to add content?

FYI, the icon at the top of the DMS website still goes to the old one with 5 videos.
