What is the definition of meetup metadata? Are they non-members who visited or attended a class?
I don’t really know, because I don’t use Meetup, but Meetup says "Meetup is a service used to organize online groups that host in-person events for people with similar interests. "
Since it revolves around “online groups” people could participate in those from anywhere.
I was alerted to the fact that this wasn’t the membership roster because I looked up my own zip code, which isn’t in there.
Some are DMS members, some have visited, some just signed up to our Meetup group and don’t know who or what we are.
I used this open source zip code database. Would you mind checking to see if your zip is included in it or not? These initial posts about the metadata are to smooth out any wrinkles and prime the idea pump of our Talk readership.
Why is our Meetup important?
We need 300-600 more DMS members to return to a comfortable financial footing. Our Meetup group has >4,500 Meetup members living nearby. Meetup members are already primed to take action, visit new places, and join up with other people sharing similar interests. It is bar none, the quickest route to gaining new DMS members.
