I remember my XT well. Outside of my Commodore 64, it was my first real foray into computing in college.
And yes, it was my college ‘gaming computer’ as well. Today’s youth would fall over in amazement.

I’m still slightly chuffed that the first PC I bought (very used at that time) cost me less then my first scientific calculator…

I think it was HP – whichever one was slightly cheaper. I do remember the “reverse Polish” entry method…
HP. Probably a 35 or 45. About $500 at the time I think.
