I just signed for a 3D Fab box. The FedEx guy asked that we start to list the phone number of whoever ordered the boxes, when the items are ordered. The guy was standing out there calling the business line getting the voicemail.
I’m a little confused by what this means.
Regular members should not be ordering anything directly to the makerspace without prior approval from officers or the board.
The regular FedEx group have the pin codes to enter the building and shouldn’t need to be calling this for anything really.
Did he ring the door bell (assuming this was front door)?
Would the box he’s delivering fit in the front mailbox?
While we’re at it - If you accept a delivery at one of the back entrances (near Ceramics on 102 side or Laser on 104 side) please take boxes to the Commons Rm if possible. We’ve had boxes mysteriously disappear and then reappear in random places on the campus.
Also - if it’s not addressed to you or your committee, you shouldn’t be opening it.
Comments based on observations by your local Purchasing Agent.
It said 3D fab on the box. Department head may have purchased it. I’m just passing the message along. When department heads make their orders, the delivery drivers would like you to leave your personal number because they need someone to sign.
He called the business line. It went to Voicemail. Other than that I don’t know if he rang the doorbell.
Thanks for doing what you could to assist out of the blue.
Just so you know, there is no physical phone that rings. Seriously wonder if he was just a undertrained new driver.
