How do we access the high-end OBD scan tool from automotive? I want to try looking at a Ford with an ABS/Traction fault and my bluetooth reader can’t pick up any codes.
It’s just there; it’s not locked up or anything though at some point there will be a short video to watch for a self-checkout to just cover the basics like “be aware of the risks should you mess with the immobilizer”
Good to know. Which cabinet is it in/what brand is it?
Autel
Black case under the green and red chests
Does it work for a 2004 Sprinter 2500 passenger van?
Yes, it will work any vehicle MY1996 and onward.
OBD in general will, but specialized functions may or may not depending on the unit and that’s the real question as to what one is trying to do with it
For example it will reset my steering sensor alarm on my 2013 ridgeline but can’t calibrate it properly.
The case also contains OBD1 adapters for some older vehicles. We used it with Motorsports to diagnose our 1995 S14.
I would caution anyone who isn’t absolutely certain of what this tool is to be cautious. It has the ability to strand you or make your vehicle run poorly if you aren’t careful.
