I need some help welding a table base. i have taken the welding basics class but would like this to look a little more professional than a first time welding project. The welds would be in the area of the red marks on the photo, the width of the piece is approx 12".

If you want to do/try it yourself, run the welds on the bottom sides or inside flange on very botto and they won’t be seen.
Get you some scrap & start practicing. You can do it, the MIG machine does most of the work for you. You will just need to get into a groove, get the machine set right. Go for the weave pattern that you feel the most comfortable doing. For me it’s either pushing or pulling with the circular weave.
Agree with Tim, get your game on - this is a very doable project. Plus you’ll have the pride of doing it yourself. This should look really cool
