MultiCam bits for personal collection

Who are the recommended name brands for wood CNC bits? I want to purchase a set for myself.

I believe these are the manufacturers of choice for DMS…

I suspect you are going to find recommendations in those results.

I like Niagara Cutter.

onsrud for mills, compression bits, and plain ballnoses, Freud for Vbits, and tapered ballnose.

But most of the carbide bits are decent.

As I’m looking at bits, I noticed we no longer have “User Supplied” bits in the VCarve catalog. Are we no longer able to use bit’s other than the few that are programmed?

You just set it in your toolpath in your vcarve file and not through the library.

What Matt said. We’ve never had a user-supplied bits section in the tool library. Knowing users just modify the values of existing bits,

Picked up a 60 VBit at WoodCraft today, but no one seems to stock the Onruds. I looked at getting a set that matches what’s already programmed in our tool library…any one have a resource for getting them any cheaper?

cheapest place I’ve found for Onsrud bits is MansonTool.com. They stock everything I’ve ever looked for. Amazon occasionally has them for good prices too.
