Fruitless pursuits of what an individual pursues should be wholly within their freedom and whimsy and I think the Space is the perfect environment for that - or at least should be. I’ve seen a lot of projects that I’d say were fruitless or at least not well conceived. But if that person(s) wants to do it, go for it. Only if something is a physical threat or danger in building it at the Space, thinking explosive shrapnel creating devices, toxic or illegal - then be a Maker and try try to Make It at the Makerspace.
This particular project, while I and apparently some others, have some scientific doubts or practicalities in building certain designs, they are our opinions, including the effectiveness such H2 enriched water. That said, I do think many of those same people would be willing to help improve and give some guidance in making it happen or try to. Personally, in looking up about H2 bubbles learned there are a lot of different kinds of bubbles and how they dissolve in liquids - so I’m a bit smarter on dissolved gases at this point and have learned something.
I don’t think DMS would have it’s name associated with product if marketed. DMS just doesn’t do or permit that to my knowledge. We even prohibit persons from listing a business address as the same as DMS to make it clear we are a separate entity.
Judging the “worthiness” of someone’s projects or idea is bit much for me personally. Are we going to have a “Worthiness Standard” and then “Worthiness Police Enforcement Committee/Czar” to enforce those standards?
