Model railroading

I saw some of these at the model train show in Plano this weekend.

If you are looking for a Live Steam Club in the Texas area, check out http://www.swlsonline.org/ These trains are built to the 7 1/2 gauge, meaning the distance between the rails is 7 1/2 inches, big enough to ride on. I was a member of the Club years ago. Bewareā€¦it is an expensive hobby with some of the steam locomotives costing more that a brand new car.

I know this isnā€™t exactly what you asked for, but there is a huge model train set (estimated $1M and roughly 2000 sq. ft.) that was donated to Frisco. My next door neighbor used to be mayor and is still actively involved with all things Frisco and wonā€™t shut up about this topic to me. Hereā€™s a news article about it https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Amazing-Model-Train-Set-Donated-to-Frisco-Museum-414130593.html but Iā€™m sure if you look on the city of Friscoā€™s website you can find out more info - I know they were looking for help moving itā€¦
