Mirrored acrylic prices

So I’ve never purchased a large sheet of acrylic before and I’m wondering where the best place to buy a single sheet is. Most places seem to want to sell enormous sheets of it in large quantities, but if I end up doing this project I’d only need maybe a single 3ft x 3ft sheet of mirrored acrylic. (or silver/gold if mirrored is $$$ or unfindable in smaller quantities)

Do ya’ll find that buying in person is better or online?

You can order for will call at either Allied plastics of Johnson Plastics . Both should have acrylic mirror up to at least 24x48 if not larger .

Do you have a thickness in mind? 1/8"?

Probably, I’d just be making a bunch of the same christmas ornament design if I do the project. So I was trying to get some prices on how much the supplies would be since I don’t really have a frame of reference on cost.

Allied plastics sells it in 48x98 sheets 1/8" thick.

If you are interested in half a sheet, I’d be willing to split the cost with you.

A full sheet is $154
Delivery to my store is $15(their fuel surcharge not mine).

If this doesn’t work for you, they do sell it by the square foot. (I didn’t ask, because I always by sheet size material).

If you need smaller pieces EStreet is pretty good

There are cheap acrylic mirrors on Amazon

IIWM, I’d check Allied. I’ve never had to buy a whole sheet of anything from them; they’ve always been willing to cut it for me.

They are always willing to cut and fab anything yes.
The cost per square foot is usually higher (not much) than a full sheet.
They are also the best deal in town for things like 60"x120" gator foam board.

Keep an eye out on the calendar, Science will be posting a mirroring class for glass ornaments soon. We just received the silver nitrate! I think @frondog_s is teaching it.

@ladysandry … They’ll cut it to one or more pieces of your choosing so it will fit easily into whatever laser you plan to use.
