MIG Wire feeding

Hey everyone! It’s the empty gas guy again. Haven’t had a chance to meet most of y’all.

Initially when using the MIG this evening, the line wouldn’t feed. I put it back on. It would go for a second, then stop again. Then the next time it fed, it spooled up inside, I cut it, and attempted to remove the wire from the gun and just restart with a new line maybe tighten something up.

Sounded like a good idea but felt out of my element and stopped. So the MIG is currently not hooked up to the spool inside. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

So does the spool not have the spring in it? Hard to say what’s causing it without seeing first person

Knowing which MiG would help, too. I’ll be there this (Tuesday) evening and can take a look.

Sounds like the spool tension spring to me.
