MakerSpace Expansion

After going to the space Saturday and looking around at expansion and the exhaust area and machine shop and other improvements, I can tell you without a doubt that this is the greatest Makerspace in the world.

That being said I have recently moved to Dayton (temporarily I hope) and several spaces have closed here, I hope we can get through this and carry on, if so this will be one of the most amazing and enabling places to be a part of.

While in Dayton, check out Midwest Surplus Electronics in Fairborn, Ohio. Check out their website. This place is just like Tanners Electronics except a little smaller in size. A visit here will make you feel like being home again. Fairborn is a suburb of Dayton.

Then for a real treat, drive 40 miles North to Lima, Ohio and visit Fair Radio Sales. Their on-line catalog barely scratches the surface of what all they have. Their hours are rather limted, only open 9-5:30 Monday thru Friday. This is the best Electronic Surplus Store, especially old military gear, and have been around since 1947. They do not get much walk-in traffic as most sales are via internet, but they do have a nice showroom and 4 other warehouses full of goodies. They will let you browse through the warehouses at your leisure, drag stuff up to the main desk, and make an offer. My home town is nearby, Marysville, and whenever I visit family I always make a trip to Fair Radio and spend a few hours searching for treasures.
