Does anyone in the DFW area build and sell ready to go ribbon burner forges or have a recommendation on someone within an hour or 2 that does? I’ve been looking online and come to the conclusion that I would rather will-call one if at all possible just due to how shipping companies are. I’ve also tossed around the idea of building one but the cost savings vs buying one you know works as intended isn’t there for me.
I haven’t seen anyone in the area selling ribbon burners. The only place I know of to buy a forge off the shelf anywhere near here is Texas Farrier Supply.
Fred Cole of the North Texas Blaclsmith Association made a ribbon forge fairly recently: perhaps reaching out to him (through the NTxBA Facebook page) might be fruitful.
