Hey guy I’m looking for a little help from my fellow makers!! I have a need for a ribbon like winder. Something to wind a 2 1/2 in wide strip of fabric onto a spool that comes off. The strips are 45+ yards long so would need to handle a lot of fabric!!
Is this the kind of thing you’re after, but for 2.5" wide and 45 yards long ribbon?
I don’t think this is parametric, which would be awesome, but maybe it’s a starting point anyway.
I’m having trouble imagining how big a roll 45 yards of ribbon makes. Can you give me an idea?
actually, it looks like this product
comes in 25 yard spools and clocks in at 3.5" ish
so I guess that gives me an idea, but I’d love to hear your specifics, if available.

I hope the images come through but that is what 45 yards looks like wound up it’s about five inches wide. It really all depends on how big the core is and how wide it needs to be.
