I’m looking for someplace local where I might be able to get a replacement top cover for my HP Laserjet 8150. One of the hinges on my cover is broken, and it’s the non-passive hinge which is needed to dismiss the ‘top cover open’ error. Feels like it also engage something mechanically.
The cover off of a junked 8100 or 8150 would work. Not sure if this could be had at Computer Reset or one of the computer salvage places. Cheapest I’ve found online is $140 (without tax/shipping).
This printer does 11x17 prints and duplexes, and just keeps going, so it’s worth fixing.
Suggestions?
