Lifecasting class: interest?

I’m considering teaching a lifecasting class depending on interest. I would want to do hands to start out simple, and create something like a cousin it hand pose for people to take home. would use alginate and hydrocal or some other hard plaster. I’d need a head count in advance so I could buy products in bulk.

I would be interested; however, it would be dependent upon when and how much.

Love to. How much are we talking?

I’d be interested, depending on the date.

I would be interested in this clas .

the more people sign up the cheaper the material cost. we could do a more advanced class doing a head mold in the future or something, but starting with the hands would be very easy. I would guess that $30 per person would cover labor and materials pretty well if there was good attendance, and that’s just a random guess.

i’d upload some example photos but i’m supposedly a ‘new member’ so its not letting me upload yet.

I’d be interested, just need a price and dates.

I have a bit of alginate. I’ve done life casting (actually made money casting breasts/ baby bellies during college) and I would love to assist or participate. I would love to cast or bring my son along so he could be cast in some way.

I would also be interested in being casted…

Interested as well! Just let us know details!

This would be an awesome, small scale way to do some interesting casting with amazing end products:

Sounds like fun! Count me in…

Any thought making this come to life? @Darcy_Neal can I help facilitate this to get it going in any way?

Yes interested. I have cast hands, toes, a thigh, face, and a partial torso and I’d love to get help in getting the alginate application down and tips/tricks for the mothermold/casting process. I think 3-lbs of algasafe is $25 at Reynolds, but I haven’t had much luck finding a cheap source for the fast cure plaster bandages (just went with amazon).

Hi,

I have a one part polyurethane mold making and casting class this Sunday.
Its not life casting but it is a good intro class for rubber mold making.

Would like this to be the first of a series.
Open to possibility of team teaching or collaborative series also Darcy!

this is the link to the sign up on the Dallas Makerspace calendar.

Try sax which is also school specialty for the plaster. I think I pay something around $50 for a huge box

I would be interested in a class and am also interested in an artist who might be interested in making a piece for me now.
