Lasing Polyurethane foam padding

Dear All,

This is David and I am a month-old member to the shop and trying to get into lasing work. I have used Muse laser cutter at work for small job. Now I am learning the big guy Thunder.

Does anyone have experience on the setting to cut Polyurethane foam - 1.5 inch thick? I am trying to make the padding for microphone storage. I read the suggested setting for “foam” is 8mm/s under 90% power. It seems pretty strong. Would it work?

Thanks Derek sharing some experience and tips with me today.

Happy New Year.

I found 12 mm/s @10% worked for me. If anyone would find it useful .
