Laser pay & Big Thunder issues

I was using the Big Thunder laser this afternoon (5 pm Monday). The cut path seemed ‘blown out’ despite checking the focus several times. It didn’t cut through 1/4” plywood at 10 speed and 99 power. I moved my project to Blitzen and it worked just fine at 50 speed and 99 power.

Also, the kiosk to pay doesn’t work.

Please place the red cone on it. Sounds like a lens is bad.

You can use the QR code on the front of the pay station. You can also pay in the common room.

I put the Cone of Shame on top. It did seem to be a focus/lens issue, but I have no expertise in these things.
I used the QR code. The kiosk had a dialogue to enter a passcode—so perhaps not broken, just needing information I couldn’t provide. ​
