Hey guys, looking to get certified and help with laser engraving a titanium watch caseback. Looking to create a custom piece, already have the design and everything ready to go. Just need help with the execution.

So my knowledge of lasers is basic, but our (current) CO2 laser cutters will only engrave metal if you use “CerMark” or similar product [and results seem to be mixed]. For best results, you probably should use a fiber laser - which we do not have (yet?).
As for certification, you’ll need to first take the online course “Laser Safety & Orientation” found at learn.dallasmakerspace.org. After that take an in person intro hands-on class for the lasers [like this one:https://calendar.dallasmakerspace.org/events/view/27578].
