Does anyone know of someone who has their own laser and does laser cutting as a service and is reasonably priced? Minimum laser bed size would be 24 x 36β.
Define reasonably priced? The hourly rate for most laser cutting services is 10-20 times what it would cost for the laser time at DMS.
I was hoping to find something around or less than $60 an hour for cuts at about 1β or 25 mm per second cut rate.
It would be good to know what you are looking to have cut. My laser canβt handle the size you need, but material information would be the first thing I would ask. 1" per second cutting 1/8" baltic birch plywood is much different than 1" per second with a 1/2" BBS plywood.
Iβd like to get 1/4β plywood or 1/16β and 1/8β acrylic cut.
Dragonstreetlaser.com is an option. Not cheap.
@bertberaht check with Bert.
CNC router only β¦ no laser capability
Iβve used these guys before. Donβt remember the rates offhand. Usually a week or two lead time.
Oops sorry Bert!!!
@Chrisgarcia I have a 80W 36βx24β in my garage. Shoot me a PM and we can discuss more what your looking for.
