Laser cut project

Hi!
I have a glassblowing project going on that needs laser cutting (vector) on a cylinder shape.

Do you have someone who would be willing to do this for me? I’m talking about 3-6 pieces that takes about 20-30 min max to cut each.

Email me if interested and I’ll tell you more:

Do you mean etching or are you actually wanting to cut the glass?

The laser won’t cut glass, but it can etch it. If you’re looking to etch the glass that’s easy. Do you have a picture of the image you want to etch on and what you want to etch it onto?

Actually I want to put some stencil tape (not vinyl I know that) on the glass and cut through that. So fast speed laser cutting with 25% power should do the trick.

@Jorma_Rahja So you are looking to create a stencil? Is it flat glass?

When vectoring on glass, the only caution is not to use too much power. It is easy to score the glass and create fracture points.

I am willing to help you with this.

I would be especially cautious of etching handblown glass. I suspect it might have more internal tensions and would be more prone to “high-speed deconstruction” compared to pressed glass.
