Laser Basics Certification Class is now Online

The class needed to use our Thunder lasers is available online for members to take. This class walks you through everything needed to safely run the lasers and the software needed.

To pass the class, you need to score a 100% on the quiz at the end. There are 8 questions on the quiz, and there are unlimited attempts.

We will still offer the in-person classes, this online class is just another option for people to use.

As a heads up to anyone who’s taken this class before now:

Only one of the ~25 of you who took the quiz before today actually fully passed it, according to our records. We’ve added that person to the AD group manually, but everyone else, you’ll need to retake the course and the quiz will a full 100% pass. (If you think you were the one to pass already, DM me and I can confirm it for you or not)

Any plans for taking the Fusion cert. online?

Not very likely. That class is much more advanced and has more room for expensive user errors. I feel it’s best that one stays in person only.

What about Zing? It’s a little different than the Thunders but not nearly the opportunity for expensive user error.

I’m not going to write it, I have never even used that one. But if you would like to volunteer to develop it, we could get it going.
