Just like the title said, I’m in need of a reliable and trustworthy locksmith to program a key fob and cut a key for a 2012 Dodge Challenger.
Alternatively, I remember the Autel (not sure i spelled that right) in Automotive said something about key programming but of course since I didn’t need it the time I didn’t really pay much attention.
If anyone knows about that specifically, let me know because it would be nice to at least have a functioning key fob.
Unfortunately right now, I won’t be able to get the car up there if it needs to be present to program the key fob with the Autel.
Mainly because it doesn’t have any keys at all right now, lol
So I’ll give your guy a call and see what he quotes me to have one made and then I can check out the Autel and see if I can program a couple more fobs to have as spares.
I am a locksmith, though I rarely get the work van up there to the makerspace unless I’m actually fixing something on it. If you want to give me a call, you can see if we’re near each other and try to set something up. I’m 8175969938
Otherwise, the autel in automotive used to have a key programming functionality. It might still, but autel recently got in trouble with many of the car manufacturers (blame tiktok), It started with Toyota, but they have started to pull all of the US key programming capability for most of their tools. So it may have been able to do that before but may not anymore. It would depend on if it was updated.
Also there is a manual key copier in automotive, used to be on the shelves though i haven’t looked for it in a while
