Self help code is almost universally prohibited in contracts. I expect that dev to be sued into poverty.

I worked with a security guy who did this, or something similar. He thought he was irreplaceable. Guess what? First they replaced the computers, then they replaced him.
The client’s lawyers will have a field day with this one to be sure… I have to wonder how many code development contracts have clauses prohibiting such code and even easter egg inclusions…
