Is there a shear in the metal shop?

I need to cut a stainless steel door kick plate. 1/16 inch thick. 8’’ wide.

Any ideas for a clean cut?

We have one, but it’s going to be too thick for that shear if it’s stainless. Our shear is good for 20ga stainless, and 16ga for mild steel.

you could cut it on the plasma then clean up the edge a little.

How thick can it cut in Aluminum ?

Per the book .100”, however it may not be easy.
