Is there a login and password for solidworks on our DMS accoutns?

I’m trying to log in to watch the tutorial videos, and I’ve tried <DMS_username>@dallasmakerspace.org, but it wouldn’t let me log in. Is there a username/email we use for signing in through 3Dexperience?

If I recall, we don’t get the 3D experience login. We get an actual copy of the downloaded SolidWorks. If you have your Green Dot, there is a thread somewhere on the forum with who to contact and how to get the information.

Not familiar with the 3D Experience. But @jsnowfreedman is correct, if you are a paid member, you can either contact @David_A_Tucker or myself for the agreement of Terms and Conditions for a Solidworks license.

Here’s the referenced thread:

If you’d rather use the Premium version of Solidworks on the jump server, it’s there for any member to use. Just follow the normal process for accessing the jump server.

If you want a personal license for your own computer, follow the instructions in the thread above.

So the Jump Server’s Solidworks version is 2017. That’s plenty fine with me, but I was wondering if you know if/when it would be updated to a newer version?

This has long been discussed. I believe the hardware is the item that’s hold it back from being updated.

What TBJK said. The operating system on the jump server isn’t compatible with the latest versions of Solidworks, but the 2017 version is plenty capable.

Get your free green dot and I can give you a personal copy for your personal computer. If you're a new(ish) member .... green dot access

The only hassle about the older jump server version is that your newer files won’t be recognized by the 2017 Premium version, and only the Premium version can be used commercially. You’d have to re-create in Premium the files you perfected on your home 2024 version.

If you didn’t know, you can access the jump server remotely (from your home computer), so that’s an option too.
