Is the automotive parts cleaner working or is it broken?

This is the kind of thing that drives people crazy. Why would anyone think the ultra sonic cleaners that are used to clean jewelry are just fine for automotive parts? I wouldn’t be surprised if the mess was left in the machine for jewelry to clean up mess and replace the cleaning solution.
I suppose “There is nothing that says I can’t do it.” will be put forward.
