What specifically are you looking for or want to do.
I’ll schedule an Intro Bridgeport class for near the end of the month, but the 23rd is less than the needed 12 days I need for submission. But if there is something in particualr I could help youwith, I’d be happy to help.
I really just need someone who is competent and familiar with the machinery and tools at DMS to give
me ( or an entire class ) an overview, sort of like woodshop does monthly woodshop basics, so that i might familiarize myself with the equipment we have available. I really don’t like to go into the space and use equipment without prior
instruction, even if the info is available online. Currently my projects consist of very basic machining, such as cutting aluminum sheet, precision drilling, tapping. An in depth training session on the metal lathe is a must. I am already signed up to take welding. Thank you in advance for your response.
Sincerely,
Liz Becker
3 more intrested in such a class.
@L_Becker Do you already know how to weld? The class is just safety mostly, you won’t learn to weld but its required. Do you need to mig or tig? (what material and how fine or thick) Somebody can show you either pretty quickly.
MIT has good machining videos, and youtube
youtube for welding also
