Ran in to this http://www.instructables.com/id/HacKeyboard-a-mechanical-keyboard-built-from-scrat/ while looking for ways to turn my gloves into a wireless keyboard. Should we have a course on making one’s own keyboard?
Contact @themitch22 he may have done one before or had a session or some such.
That would be great. Once I get up on the cnc plasma I was going to make some switch plates from stainless. @childofthehorn might want in on this too.
cool! Personally I’m wanting to build a cherry ml4100 clone (blue switches with home row plus w having red switches) that’s been mapped as a hybrid from ADM-3A, and Sun type 7. It would also have macros like the sinclair zx81 but programmable over /dev/ttyinput, have a soft fading glow for backlighting and have a matte aluminum/carbon finish .
Yeah I know ambitious but someone’s got to do it.

I always wanted to make a modular keyboard where each switch has it’s own board and you daisy chain the switches using a serial connection.
