How to Become a Teacher of Wood Lathes

Sorry, this does not pertain to the lathe class, just needed to message Sam and I’m not sure how to message someone directly.

Hey @Sam_Violett, I was in your intro class last night and I would like to get involved in helping teach beginner intro classes. Tom mentioned it would be the best way to help free up the time of more experienced wood-workers such as yourself to teach higher level and specific project classes.

How would I get started?

Woodshop safety classes function on a see one - do one- teach one model;

If you want to teach a basic safety class, reach out to a teacher and ask to shadow their class. Then, coordinate with a teacher and schedule a class that you teach. Once you teach your own class, that teacher will approve you as a full teacher.
