I’m not sure where else I could post this and receive decent advice, so hopefully some of you would be ready to offer some advice.
I have about 12 Milwaukee 18v batteries that I’d like to test for health so I know which ones to send in for warranty service.
I’m aware that some of my batteries last longer than others, but it’s difficult for me to keep track of which ones.
Thanks guys.
1st thing. I label my rechargables with date of purchase or first date of use with a ptouch sticker. Dont go by scuff marks to track age etc.
I have fast and slow chargers for my ryobi1, so in theory i slow charge ccouple times a year.
Get a led flashlight tool, that should be one that can “safely drain” slowly. Taping down a drill trigger is less advisable.
Then you can do things like use your watch and eyes to periodically check, or build a super simple arduino or pi circuit to watch the light and increment a timer.
