My best friend and I made one of those in high school to hide a recorder, but it messed up the audio too badly in testing, so we just put the recorder on the desk.

It was a fun project to do, and surprisingly easy.

The recorder? It was used to record a verbally abusive teacher. :innocent:

Do you make the secret bookcase door book a secret book safe as well? Or do you hide your secret book safe in the room behind the secret bookcase door?

I would do both!

Once you’ve glued up all the pages, you can separate the body of the book from its covers and cut the opening with a bandsaw (much like how bandsawn boxes are made).

Make the entry cut from the binding side of the pages.

MUCH faster than slicing a few pages at a time with a boxcutter blade. More even results, too.
