How do I renew my membership

What’s the status of these robot arms?

Do we have all the components we need to get them running? If not, what else do we need? Who is in charge of the Unimation Staubli RX60 arms, and are we allowed to use them?

I’m not sure if your title was mistakenly added to the wrong post but I’ll try to answer both questions. To renew, go to Login - Dallas Makerspace.

The Staubli arm is a Science committee thing and yes, it does move. There was a guy working on it last year but he got busy with work and so it hasn’t moved in a while. I think the best thing to do would probably be to stop by our informal Sunday 3PM get togethers (such as the one we are having this afternoon).

Edit: apparently entering account.dallasmakerspace.org into the address bar manually works but going there from a click doesn’t redirect you to the login page.

Also, the second photo that you posted isn’t a robot arm at all. That’s Aiden’s nuclear fusor project that is nearing completion (trying to be the youngest person to do nuclear fusion). There is a Science committee fusor visible on that wooden table in your first picture but it hasn’t been worked on with as much urgency since we don’t have a world record we are aiming for.

Perhaps the robot was asking to renew its membership?
