Here is an example of doing something well

I was in metal on Wednesday morning to work on something. Got there early and turned on the lights. In walking in, the shop looked pretty clean and orderly. It caught me by surprise, not sure I have ever seen it that clean. I usually come in expecting to sweep and vacuum up the areas I will be using.

I needed to cut multiple pieces of threaded rod and square tubing. I decided that using the horizontal bandsaw made sense since I could easily clamp in a length stop for my multiple cuts.

I then noticed that someone had used it to cut a lot of metal and they did it right. They got a wash bin and placed it on the floor under the cutting area. There was a lot of cut off ends and shavings in the bin. The real excellence of this was that this person used cutting oil for their cuts. Without a bin underneath, the oil would have gotten on the floor and would have been a mess. Awesome thinking. The cutting area was well wiped down for any oil as well.

Whoever did this, great job!
