While we currently have an engine sitting under one of the tables, it’s stripped-down to a longblock and doesn’t have a lot of the components I would like if I were to teach a class on how an engine works. Specifically missing everything for the intake, starter, flywheel, etc – a bit boring to just open it up and show a piston.
I’d like to get a smaller I4 engine for the purpose of teaching a class, and was curious if
- anybody just happened to have one… who knows, might get lucky
or - if there’s anyone that wants to go have fun pulling one from a junkyard (bonus points if you have a truck, else I can rent something)
The plan is to prep the engine and get it mounted to a permanent engine stand to make teaching various components easy.
