Hi. Is there anyone that can talk to me about configuring Police/Fire scanner?
Some have, others haven’t. Dallas, last I heard was still behind. Fort Worth went encrypted not that long ago.
This was in the news, recently, though.
So I’m let to believe they’re poised on the edge of making it much more difficult to scanner-eavesdrop in Dallas city…
If I recall, They tried once before & they had so many problems they went back. The 911 system is behind as well from what I remember. Dallas doesn’t exactly have a stellar reputation for spending tax payer money appropriately.

Yeah, its a mixed bag but most areas around here are still are decrypted or available over internet streaming radio.
