I can’t go get this today, but could digital media use it for improved recording acoustics? Perhaps in a collapsible sound tent or something?

Just as well. The temptation would have been to mount them on the wall and the fire marshal frowns mightily on that.
Ah, but surely those are “approved” foam. I thought that the issue with the ones we had were that they weren’t the approved type.
The ones we had were “home made”
However, I got the impression that they would have to be UL approved (and possibly with visible label or other proof) to pass inspection.
