I will be moving to Colorado in a few weeks, and I need to get rid of some stuff that I was saving for future projects. Of these is a block (with oil pan, crank, pistons, etc. assembled) and head from a 5 cylinder engine out of a 1998 Volvo S70 T5. I was planning on cleaning up the parts and setting a piece of glass on top to make a coffee table to sell, but I don’t think I’ll have time to do so before I move.
The engine ran when I pulled it from the car if that’s important to you. It was smoking at idle, but I found a good deal on a used engine so I decided to swap the engine instead of diagnosing. After the engine was pulled, it sat outside for a year or two, but it’s mostly an aluminum engine, so rust is minimal.
If anyone is interested in the engine, I can post pics. The way the motor is disassembled, it can be handled by two people without a cherry-picker.
