Hi! I was wondering if we have a foil stamping machine? And if not, is there a reason why?
We have a small one, a Kingsley machine . We only have one small set of type for is but I can show you how to set it up and use it . I was planning a class but the limited does and type make that difficult . The device we have is basically designed for putting names on pencils . Making customs brass dies is a perfect use case for our cnc resources in the machine shop.
Additionally, the foil machine is over in Creative Arts, not in Printmaking.
Also works mildly well on veg tan leather. I stamped my name into the wallet I made. Would not suggest trying it on a bought leather product though.
To the best of our knowledge, it does take standard letterpress height (.918") metal type, just not sure on how large of a font size it will take.
Let me know when, please.
I would like to check that out for a couple ideas I think I might have, maybe.
