FAQ: How to Submit a Request for Honorarium

Continuing the discussion from Train the trainers, HAAS CLASS I (CAM):

Some guidelines for submitting a request for honorarium. This is done via our Events Calendar at the time you submit the class that you wish to request honorarium for.

When you teach a class, you have three options:

$50 to you and $50 to a committee of your choosing. (Pay instructor.)
$100 to a committee of your choosing.
No honorarium.

Only the first option requires that you submit a W-9.

The first two options must be submitted at least 240 hours in advance and take 72 hours to clear the honorarium auditors.

The third option takes 48 hours to clear the calendar admins. And sometimes less if one of them blesses it.

This should be in a FAQ somewhere…

So when trying to submit a class 240 & 11 minutes ahead of the start time will not allow for the honorarium.

Maybe try scheduling the class to begin 15 minutes later? The pre-configured “minutes” seem to be in 15 minute increments… (NOTE: I am not a Calendar Admin at this time, so I am not sure that will help; but, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to try…)

I’m going to open an ISSUE thread about the issue above under the #issues-requests category and mention (“tag”) @Team_Calendar… I’m not splitting the thread before this point to allow new members to know that issues can and should be reported in a timely manner; and, give them the information needed to know where to post the issues…

edit to add: Tim and I are in agreement with how to handle these post in this particular instance…
