FYI, HRPO for those who to not know what that is, It’s Hot Rolled Picked & Oiled.
Regular Hot Rolled Steel creates the dark grey mill scale. The pickling process removes that scale & then its oiled to keep the rust away.

Also, There is this spray that helps preserve the metal from rusting. I have not personally used it but Ive heard about years ago & it appears promising.
