Bout to make the hike over to the space to try my hand at turning a baseball bat. That being said, I was told in my lathe class that we had an extension for the powermatic for projects that long. The blank is 37". Will I be able to find it near the lathes?
I don’t remember us having an extension for Powermatic. But then again my memory sucks
We do have an extension for the Oneway, and that is the one most people have made baseball bats on.

OK. So, unless it has been moved/liberated, it is sitting on floor near Oneway. The good news is, if you plan on doing your work during daytime, the lathe’s original owner (Jimmie) is usually/often there and can help with whatever you need as far as setting it up.
Plus he is a very nice guy. Get to know him even if you don’t need his help with something.
