It sounds like there might have been some confusion in the past, so I wanted to clarify that cutting is allowed on the Fusion. We do however discourage prolonged, high power cutting as it will lead to shorter tube life (as it does in any laser).

Is a laser tube like a bucket of water where the higher power you use for 1 minute of cutting takes a larger amount of water out of the bucket than it would if you used lower power?
Always been curious.
Just sitting unused the tube life is being expended. I’ve never heard this claim that higher power cutting decreases tube life. Is this something that Epilog has stated? They have never made this statement at tradeshow, or demos.
