Electronics soldering class request

I’ve ordered some fun kits for us at a few price points and getting my slides together. If the adafruit order gets packed early, I’ll get a class up for this Saturday. I’ll repeat it a few times in the next month for as long as there’s interest.

Saw some breadboard / microcontroller kits in the lab as well if there’s interest in some basic digital electronics classes.

Oh, and @Eden - go over to the “Member Access” category on talk to get access to the member-only categories. You’ll see a lot more going on

We used to teach an Arduinos with Detectors class which taught basic uComp with connecting common detectors and devices. All were common libraries, so it would take you from Zero to say accelerometers or NeoPixels at warp speed.

Also, there is a lot of excellent information about soldering and other electronics fabrication techniques available in the NASA workmanship standards if anyone is interested. https://nepp.nasa.gov/index.cfm/5511

I’ve posted a class for this Saturday, 2PM-4PM. It should hit the calendar 48 hours from right now.

Kits I’ll have on hand – not making money on these, just making them available:

  • 4-digit clock ($10)
  • FM Radio ($15)
  • Adafruit POV LED Light Painting ($25)

If you aren’t able to afford a kit, we can dig around in electronics and find something to practice on.
