I’m trying to vote in the current Board election, and I’ve never experienced such a convoluted process in my life. There are notices all over the Makerspace site about the election, and telling member we need to vote, but the process is a puzzle. I’ve successfully registered to vote (at least my Profile tells me I have) but all of the instructions I’ve received end up as dead ends. If high voter turnout is a goal, it would be great if there was an easy to find place where clear, accurate voting instructions were available.

I’ll give it a stab.
- Check your DMS registered member email address for email from [email protected], Subject: 2026 Board of Directors Election, delivery about April 11, 2026 at 01:15AM (may vary)
- Note elector ID and Password
- proceed to https://dallasmakerspace.simplyvoting.com/
- Use said elector ID and Password to log in
- Cast vote following instructions (select up to 5 of the enumerated candidates by clicking the check box preceeding the name)
Make a “I voted” sticker for yourself (no idea how to do that, but I hear some folks have) and enjoy the cold beverage of your choosing.
