I will start a bisque kiln Monday 1/2/17. For me, that means evening, if not late evening. That gives you two days if you’ve got something in leather-hard that just needs a smidge to be bone-dry. It’s not really enough time for something to dry if you start it today.
The note I left in the Fired Arts area says that I’ll start a glaze kiln on Wednesday. However, I may wait until Thursday to give folks with things in the bisque kiln a chance to glaze that ware and get in this kiln.
Since I’ve got a class running from Tues this week to Friday next week, there will be another bisque kiln, maybe two in this time frame. It depends on how well they’re doing, and how much stuff is being produced. If you have stuff you want to get bisqued, put it in the ready-to-go area this week, and it will be fired on 1/16 at the latest. As I said, it’ll be sooner if we’ve got enough to fill the little kiln.
