Dynatorch/Powermax arc issues [solved]

I don’t have member access, or I would have posted in Issues.

I noticed the retaining cap, and everything it holds (shield, nozzle, electrode) were on the computer desk when I sat down.

Put it back together, but am getting error “arc failed to establish…” Sometimes the air flows, sometimes not.

I switched the consumables with some new ones I had. I checked ground wire. I restarted multiple times. I switched to a known, working gcode. Not too sure what the error is. Arc will not start.

Do we have a handheld connection to the Powermax, to rule out Powermax issues?

I’ll be in tonight and can look at. I saw it touch off the part and not turn on the arc several times a few days ago. Second attempt always worked. Seems like that would be a relay sending the arc start to the hypertherm.

Apparently, replacing the spade connector for the Ohmin sensor fixed the issue, and arcs fine now.

I didn’t catch the name of the person that replaced the spade connector, but thanks to him and also Randy for looking into this.
