Thales Group proposes to allocate 2M band for unmanned aircraft communication.
They have got to be kidding. There are more radios sold for 2M than any other band. Are they going to banish SKYWARN ARES and RACES networks?
It is France that is doing this and it is just a proposal. It still has to go through several world conferences.
The only concern that I have heard is that 2m is not being used like it once was.
